A spontaneous gathering of outstanding musicians has aligned on Hornby for one evening only. Expect soaring violin, soulful vocals, looping soundscapes, jazz-folk influences, and deeply immersive performance. These artists have toured internationally — it’s rare to see them together, let alone here

This concert is entirely community-initiated.

Electro Jacques Therapy — Jacques Mindreau
Transcendental violin, vocals & looping
Jacques Mindreau is a genre-bending violinist and vocalist who layers looping strings and voice into powerful, otherworldly soundscapes. An internationally touring artist, his work spans film, theatre, and dance, and he’s known for cultivating vibrant grassroots music communities (including Halifax’s legendary Agricola Street Open Mic). His performances evoke ceremony, improvisation, and deep connection to place.

Arbuta — Laura Gallant

Arbuta is the solo project of singer-songwriter Laura Gallant. Drawing on soul, jazz, and pop influences, she weaves together her favourite musical styles while sharing deeply personal moments, reflections, and experiences.
