As we are still a smaller and yet rapidly growing body, rather than further clutter communications regarding how our regional, provincial, and federal bodies are responding to the pandemic, we’ve left space for our larger sister and parent organizations to put their resources into action and lead the way. A constant theme in the weekly local, regional, and provincial conversations that we are party to is that opportunities, best practices, and strategies are rapidly evolving. However, some things are becoming more solidified: we know for example, that large gatherings like festivals are off the table through the summer season. We do know that funding is being freed up that was already dedicated for the arts: we don’t know what brand new funding may look like.
